Big 3 Astrology Calculator
Find your Sun, Moon and rising signs together. Use your birth time and location for a time-specific chart, or see what can and cannot be calculated when the time is unknown.
Astronomical positions are calculated; astrology and numerology interpretations are symbolic, not scientifically validated assessments.
Enter your details and choose Calculate. Examples are illustrative, not saved profiles.
How this calculation works
Local civil time is resolved with IANA time-zone rules. Geocentric tropical Sun and Moon longitudes come from Astronomy Engine; rising comes from local sidereal time, latitude and ecliptic obliquity.
Assumptions and limits
Rising depends on both time and coordinates. If you do not know the time, the Sun and Moon shown are a local-noon illustration and rising is withheld. Near a sign boundary, the actual placement may differ.
Questions about big 3 astrology
What are the Big 3?
Sun, Moon and rising are three different points used in astrology: the Sun's position, the Moon's position and the eastern-horizon intersection.
Can I calculate all three without my birth time?
No. A date-only result cannot establish rising. A noon example also cannot settle a Moon or Sun sign that changes during your birth date.
